Virtual Workshop with National Campaign Airspace Partners- Part 1
May 6, 2020

The Air Traffic Management Exploration (ATM-X) Urban Air Mobility (UAM) sub-project hosted a virtual workshop on April 21, 2020. A total of approximately 50 participants included Industry partners for the National Campaign (NC) who have signed an Annex for NC simulations, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The purpose of the workshop was to update industry partners with information on the “X3” simulation scheduled for summer 2020. The discussion included updates to the Annex and Simulation schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and other changes required to update the NASA UAM airspace management system to the latest industry standards. NC scenarios or use cases, focusing on nominal operations as well as off-nominals, were discussed, along with the requirements associated with those scenarios. The group also discussed emulated airspace that will be provided to the industry partners for exercising the scenarios.
