System Requirements Review for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Subproject
April 9, 2020

The Air Traffic Management Exploration (ATM-X) Project’s Initial Urban Air Mobility Operations Integration (UAM) sub-project conducted a System Requirements Review (SRR) for its upcoming UAM airspace simulation (X3), scheduled for September 2020. The X3 effort is intended to support NASA’s National Campaign 1 (NC-1) testing and the review, conducted across two sessions in March 2020, assessed how well X3, as proposed, will support preparations for future NC simulations and flight activities, particularly NC-1. An independent NASA review panel and internal stakeholders took part in the SRR sessions and provided valuable feedback and recommendations to the UAM team to ensure that the X3 simulation is well-aligned with the goals and objectives of UAM and ATM-X, as well as those for the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) project and the NC sub-project.
