A Stanton Harke Memorial
Stan Harke |
Beyond the expression of customer wishes and NASA's mission, the FutureFlight Central name intends to honor the memory of Stan Harke. Stan was described as a class act; a visionary who made everyone feel included. FutureFlight Central embodies those very core traits. Stan's vision for the facility was unlimited. He was adamant that it not be seen as simply a training facility, but as a place for creation and enhancement. This sense of unlimited possibilities is inherent in the name. Stan was committed to the ability to create full-stress human situations as a way of preparing for the future - as a way of saving lives. Identifying the facility as a Central place where people of all levels can come together to experience and create the future of flight is a direct reflection of Stan's vision.
