On December 8th, 2021, the ATM-X project management personnel, and the Extensible Traffic Management (xTM) team members attended NASA-FAA quarterly for the UAS Traffic Management (UTM). In the quarterly, the FAA provided updates about information exchange for the UAS Remote Identification, UAS Service Supplier (USS) standard, and Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Aviation Rulemaking Committee activities. NASA briefed the FAA about Federated Airspace Management development capability, also known as Freddie, and the FAA talked about their experience with using the Freddie capability for the UTM Evaluation work. NASA and the FAA discussed approaches to advance the state of the art of UTM, including NASA/FAA UTM RTT activities. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the UTM work and agreed to continue the conversation about potential joint activities.
