UAM NC-1 Strategic Conflict Management Simulation (X4) Partners Conduct Connectivity Tests
November 9, 2021

On October 28, 2021, the ATM-X Project’s Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Sub-Project successfully completed connectivity tests with all seven Strategic Conflict Management Simulation (X4) airspace partners. The seven partners, and NASA, conducted initial connectivity tests of their Provider of Services for UAM (PSU) to a prototype FAA-Industry Data Exchange Protocol (FIDXP) system developed for the X4 simulation. They were all able to send and receive airspace data (e.g., corridors, waypoints, tracks, etc.) to and from the Airspace Structure Definition Service (ASDS). This is the first sprint test in a series of X4 tests. The series of sprints within the scenarios are used to validate features that will be applied in a collaborative scenario simulation with the X4 partners that will run from March to June in 2022.
