ATAC TestBed Transition Model and Tradeoff Study
July 15, 2020

Proposed Support Structure Functional Areas and Organization

ATAC completed an analysis on the TestBed Transition Model Trade-off and provided a final briefing to line and project managers at NASA Ames and Langley Research Centers, on July 10, 2020. The analysis looked at three support models for future TestBed operations: entirely managed by NASA, completely external to NASA, and a hybrid of the two. The briefing focused on an example hybrid case, assuming certain percentages of resources provided by each of NASA and external parties. A spreadsheet for calculating an estimate of the required resources can be customized to allow NASA to perform further analysis.
