FAA visits NASA Ames to discuss NextGen facilities and technologies
FAA representatives from the FAA Tech Center, Cleveland Center and the National Air Traffic Controllers Association met at NASA Ames Research Center to discuss their facilities modernization plan. The objective of this meeting was to provide more insight into the NextGen research conducted by NASA to help the FAA with their facilities modernization plan. NASA provided briefings on a wide range of topics which included project briefings and technical discussions. Technical discussions included Dynamic Airspace Configuration, Traffic Flow Management, flexible airspace concepts, runway management, 3D path arrival management and near-term trajectory based operations.
