Alexey Munishkin
Alexey Munishkin is a Pathways intern currently working on the Sky for All (formerly Vision 2045) community-supported Vision for the aviation system circa 2045, where he is currently helping to create an online compendium of interconnected (i.e., hyperlinked) articles undergirded by a robust information framework. The articles will describe operational use cases, challenges, technical barriers, and research questions. Alexey has previously been a member of the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) X3 Team for the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Campaign tests under the Air Traffic Management Exploration (ATM-X) project, where he helped to analyze and write metrics for data analysis of AAM National Campaign tests.
Alexey Munishkin is currently pursuing his PhD in Computer Engineering at University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) and expects to join NASA as a civil servant once he graduates this year. His doctoral research is focused on designing safe, scalable control and optimization algorithms for various autonomous multi-aircraft problems in navigation, surveillance, and coordinated flight operations leveraging stochastic optimal control techniques. Alexey Munishkin earned a Computer Engineering B.S. with emphasis in Robotics and Control in 2016 from UCSC. |
