	+ Home Search Aviation Systems		2012 National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Aerospace Conference Awards Dr. Ousmane Diallo and Aisha Bowe, Trailblazers in Aerospace Award (L to R) Aisha Bowe and Ousmane Diallo, recipients of the 2012 NSBE 21st Century Trailblazers in Aerosapce Award Dr. Ousmane Diallo and Aisha Bowe were selected for the 21st Century Trailblazers in Aerospace Award in the category of Aerodynamics & Aviation for their contributions to the aerospace community, commitment to excellence, and overall outstanding performance. They exemplify the NSBE mission “To increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.” Aisha Bowe, Outstanding Technical Contribution Dr. Edward Tunstel (left) and Reginald Gillins (right), NSBE Technical Program Co-Chairs present the Outstanding Technical Contribution Award to Aisha Bowe (center) of NASA Ames Research Center. Aisha Bowe, was awarded "Outstanding Technical Contribution" for her paper, "Evaluation of a Fuel-Efficient Aircraft Maneuver for Conflict Resolution." The paper, co-authored with Confesor Santiago, was considered the "the outstanding paper in terms of quality, innovation and experimentation."
