Ames Honor Awards 2008

En Route Descent Advisor and Tailored Arrivals Research Team
The En Route Descent Advisor and Tailored Arrivals Research Team received a 2008 Ames Honor Award for "exceptional achievements and internationally recognized accomplishments in the design, development, and validation of the En Route Descent Advisor and related Tailored Arrivals concept, which combine to maximize throughput and flow efficiency in the complex merging arrival air traffic environment." The team included representatives from NASA Ames Research Center, Sensis, Boeing, United Airlines, FAA, Lockheed-Martin, and the San Francisco Noise Office.
