NASA Honor Awards 1997

The Center-TRACON Automation System (CTAS) Team received a NASA Honor Award for "the development of CTAS, the most revolutionary advance in air traffic control since radar, and a cornerstone for a safe and more efficient air transportation system." The team included representatives from NASA Ames Resarch Center, NASA Langley Resarch Center, Adsystech Inc., American Airlines, FAA, Logicon, MIT Lincoln Lab, San Jose State University, Sterling Software, Symvionics, United Airlines, and Wyndemere.

Thomas J. Davis was also given an Achievement Medal for Exceptional Engineering.
