Savvy Verma has worked as a researcher for NASA Ames for the last 10 years. She has worked both in the fast-time and real-time simulations domain. She has conducted several human-in-the-loop simulations for the surface and terminal phase of flight, and has also worked on Human Performance Modeling. Her undergraduate degree was in Psychology and System Engineering. She has an MBA from India and a Masters in Human Factors and Ergonomics from San Jose State University. Her recent work has focused on developing and testing procedures for new concepts in the terminal area with a focus on operations conducted on closely spaced parallel runways. Her publication, "Evaluation of Triple Closely Spaced Parallel Runways for Off-nominal Cases," won the best paper in track award at the 2009 USA/Europe Air Traffic Management Seminar and also received the 2010 Aeronautics Excellence in Publications Award at NASA.
